My name is Marie Widelyne, and I am currently a graduate student in Modern Languages with a strong passion for languages, communication, and teaching.

As a native Haitian Creole speaker, I enjoy helping learners discover the beauty of Haitian Creole and develop the confidence to use it in real-life situations. I also speak English and Spanish as second languages, which allows me to understand many of the challenges that language learners face when learning a new language.

My teaching philosophy is based on the eclectic approach, which means I adapt my teaching methods to each student’s needs, learning style, and goals. I place a strong emphasis on communicative competence, helping students move beyond memorizing vocabulary and grammar to actually communicate naturally and confidently.
